General Information
The Department of Social Studies Education, affiliated to the Department of Primary Education of ADU Faculty of Education, which was established with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 01.09.1997 and numbered 97/892, started education and training at undergraduate and graduate levels in 2004-2005 Education and Training year. The language of instruction of the Social Studies Education Department is Turkish. There are 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor, 4 Doctor Instructors and 2 Research Assistants in the Department.
Purpose of the Program
To meet the qualified teacher shortage that our country needs, to support new scientific developments and to contribute to social service. The aim of the department is; To raise self-sacrificing teachers and individuals who think scientifically, research, question and constantly renew themselves. In addition, the scientific studies carried out in the Department aim to follow the innovations in the field of Social Studies and Education, to seek solutions to problems and to further increase the quality of education.
Program Admission Requirements
Taking the exams made by ÖSYM throughout the country and getting the required score and choosing our department in the required university preference forms, then being placed in this program by ÖSYM.
