Department Facilities

The classrooms in the Faculty of Health Sciences building are used jointly with other departments by the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. There are classrooms, equipment, surface area, environmental facilities, laboratories and units in our faculty building. The existing areas in our faculty building are used in the most effective way in coordination between departments. Academic staff carry out the current program by working devotedly. In the classrooms where the theoretical lessons will be taught, there are computers, projectors, projection screens, desks in an amphitheater and a blackboard.

There are 3 laboratories used for the conduct of courses and other services. Nutrition Principles Laboratory is 70 m², Research Laboratory is 40 m², Food Chemistry and Analysis Laboratory is 60 m², Anthropometry Laboratory (Nutrition and Diet Counseling Center) is 12 m².

There are body analyzer (BIA), computer, caliper, stadiometer, fume cupboard, extraction bath, soxhlet device, refrigerator, oven, precision balance in the laboratories of our department.

Library Facilities

In the central library of the university, domestic and foreign printed books, subscribed printed journals, electronic books, electronic journals containing full texts, database and audio/visual media are offered to readers. The Central Library provides general information about the library, working hours, subscribed periodicals, new books, library catalogue, purchased and published books on its updated web page (http://kutuphane.adu.edu.tr) in order to provide its readers with service opportunities in the easiest way. It also offers access to paid database and journals, e-dictionaries, e-encyclopedias, search engines, thesis summaries, local and foreign press, local and foreign publishing houses and other libraries.
