Department of Physiology

General Information

Physiology is a key life science essential to our understanding of human and animal function. In particular, with the increasing specialization of biomedical research, physiology provides an essential framework within which new knowledge of cells and molecules can be applied to improving human health. Physiological studies of normal biological function provide the basis for understanding the abnormal function seen in animal and human disease (pathophysiology) and for developing new methods for treating those diseases.

Master's and Doctorate Program of Veterinary Physiology has started in the Spring Semester of the 2006-2007 Academic Year. Research interests of department; peripheral neuropathy models, induced cancer models, exercise models, hypertension and diabetes models, microbiota, fecal transplantation, oxidative metabolism, nutrition and immune system, hematology, skeletal muscle and smooth muscle contractility, ECG and blood pressure.
